Keith Jardine

Keith JardineLatest News Update About Keith Jardine:Veterans Keith Jardine and Trevor Prangley came into tonight's Shark Fights 13 main event looking to snap their losing streaks and make their way back to bigger promotions with a win.

In the first round, Jardine set the tone of the bout by landing his patented hooking leg kicks. Jardine managed to keep Prangley at bay at first, but was eventually caught in the clinch and dropped him.

Jardine appeared to be in danger, but managed to survive after being lifted off of his feet and came close to landing an armbar. Prangley looked like he was in danger, but managed to get himself out of a bad position and won the round. Jardine also caught Prangley in a heel hook, but could not finish him.

In the second round, Jardine looked more aggressive and was hit on the chin with a uppercut that floored him. Prangley moved in and began to pound Jardine with some big punches, but could not finish the resilient fighter. Prangley went on to clearly win the round and went into the third round easily up two rounds to none.

I expected Jardine to come out throwing punches and looking to finish Prangley in the third round, but his last minute flurry did not come until the last two minutes of the round. Jardine managed to put Prangley in danger with the last minute flurry of punches and knees, but could not finish him off. The fight went to the judges score cards and Prangley was given a clear 29-28 victory.

Jardine has now lost five in a row and looks to be even farther from his goal of returning to the UFC. Prangley bounces back from his loss to StrikeForce middleweight Tim Kennedy with a solid performance.
