Latest News About Salomon X Trail Run 2010: A unique adventure race highlighted by challenging natural obstacles awaits runners in the First Salomon X-Trail Run Pilipinas and Mountain Party on Nov. 13 at the Pamulaklain Forest Reserve in Subic.
Set in distances of 24 and 12 kilometers, the afternoon races will test the participants' endurance and skill in negotiating the harsh environment of the sprawling watershed inside Subic Freeport while pitting them against the sunlight.
"This is not your typical run because the course features natural obstacles like ditches, streams, trees, rough terrain and other hurdles that you won't find in regular races," said Ryan Guzman, brand manager of Salomon, during yesterday's PSA Forum.
Close to P60,000 in prizes will be handed out to the top three finishers in the men's and women's divisions of the 12K and 24K runs.
Guzman said after the challenging footrace at the forest reserve, all the participants will be treated to a "Mountain Party" with sultry Fil-Am singer Diane Elise hosting the closing ceremony and serenading them with some of her popular hits like "You're My Inspiration."
After this, he said it will be the turn of local blues "Bad Bly" Joniver to regale the trail runners with reggae, jazz and rock pieces.
