Pak Beat Sir Lanka For T20 BronzeSports News, GUANGZHOU: Captain Khalid Latif has led Pakistan to a six-wicket victory over an experienced Sri Lankan lineup in the Twenty20 cricket bronze medal playoff at the Asian Games. Latif hit an unbeaten 53 off 42 balls as Pakistan raced to 141 for four wickets in 18 overs. Bilawal Bhatti (25 not out) smashed test fast bowler Nuwan Zoysa for a six for the winning runs.






Sri Lanka, after being put into bat, was dismissed for 135 in 19.5 overs.


Latif took the game away from Sri Lanka by hitting legspinner Malinga Bandara for three sixes in the 15th over.


Pakistan made amends for four dropped catches by running out four batsmen.


Afghanistan, which upset Pakistan in the semifinals, takes on Bangladesh in the final.
