Sports News: PCB decides to serve "Defamation Notice" to the British news agency who alleged Pakistani cricketers of being involved in match-fixing. Chairman PCB Ejaz Butt has reportedly consulted a local legal-services firm about the matter.
Pakistan's envoy to Britain Wajid Shams ul Hassan, Chairman PCB Ejaz Butt and PCB’s Legal Adviser Tafazzul Rizvi held a meeting at Pakistani High Commission in London to discuss the situation developed after the news of involvement of Pakistani Cricketers in match-fixing came on screen.
A British news agency named "News of The World" tried to make a ‘spot-fixing’ bargain with Pakistani Cricketers through a middle-man.
Tafazzul Rizvi today will meet the alleged Pakistani Cricketers along with other legal experts. PCB has taken the stand that no telephonic conversation evidences are provided by the British news agency against the players and all the "drama" has been done to create sensation and nothing else. A "Defamation Notice", however, will be served after Scotland Yard completes initial investigation.
