Now is the time to act to make sure you and your company are a part of the fun and fitness this year.
Registration has opened for the 5.6-kilometre team road race that will be held on Thursday, 6 May, 2010 with a 6:00 p.m. race start at Esplanade Drive.
Last year's Corporate Challenge attracted a capacity crowd of almost 10,000 runners and walkers from 330 companies. In fact, due to popular demand, event organizers are investigating course changes that would accommodate an expanded capacity to over 12,500. Last year's huge turnout was led by Starhub, with more than 400 participants. Temasek Holdings, Citigroup, PricewaterhouseCoopers and M1 were among the companies with more than 200 employees entered in 2009.
But, registering early online will eliminate any uncertainty about participating.
The entry fee for the 2010 J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge in Singapore is S$50 per entrant. All entries must be part of a corporate team, with each team needing to register a minimum of four employees. There is no limit to the number of employees that can be on a company team, but due to capacity restrictions, large teams should complete their registration early.
Continuing a popular part of the race's success, the 2010 Corporate Challenge will again feature the environmentally conscious "Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow" campaign. The award-winning, Series-wide effort uses best environmental practices, such as 100-percent online registration and recycling, to make a positive impact on the environment.
In addition to the continued focus on the environment, J.P. Morgan will also make a donation for each entry to a worthy not-for-profit organization. Please check back to this website for details about the race beneficiary.
And, teams are encouraged to design and produce their own company T-shirt for the race. Let your creative juices flow and come up with a design that incorporates the Series logo, event name or any other element of the race. The companies with the top designs will choose a charitable organisation to receive a donation from J.P. Morgan.
In the meantime, get your team together, keep training, and be sure to register early so you are a part of the seventh J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Singapore on 6 May.
