Hughton has no new injury worries and his only selection dilemma is whether or not to start Alan Smith. The Magpies’ captain was left out against the Sky Blues in midweek with Danny Guthrie and Kevin Nolan being preferred in midfield. Nicky Butt (thigh) and Jose Enrique (hamstring) are working their way back to full fitness but they will not be included in the squad.
