Cricket Stick, The Trinidad and Tobago team arrived in Barbados on Tuesday and immediately got down to business as they look to make an impression in the West Indies Cricket Board's Caribbean T20 Tournament. The Trinis, smartly attired in their red jerseys and black pants, had a work-out at Queen's Park in Bridgetown on Tuesday evening and looked quite fit and sharp under the watchful eye of trainer Ronald Rogers and coach Kelvin Williams.

They will get the ball rolling in the opening match against Canada at Kensington Oval on Thursday at 4 pm (3 pm Jamaica Time).

Skipper Daren Ganga outlined that the team's goal was to win the Caribbean T20 and from there qualify for the Airtel Champions League in South Africa in September. The experienced right-hander however outlined that they will not be putting any pressure on themselves � it's a matter of enjoying each match and playing with a free mind.

"We have the mindset that every game is a final and this is how we are going to approach them," Ganga said. "We have worked very hard over the past months in getting to this point and now it's about going out there and delivering, executing the plan. We have some very experienced players in the line-up and they know what to expect in this tournament."

He added: "The nature of T20 cricket is very unpredictable but there are certain basics you stick to and success will come your way. We are hoping to be the champions and go on to South Africa to represent the Caribbean."

Trinidad and Tobago represented the region in the inaugural Champions League in India last year and placed second to New South Wales Blues of Australia.

The format for the Caribbean T20 Tournament will be two groups of four teams. There will be a round-robin stage in each group � each team will play three matches � with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the semi-finals.

The winners of the semi-finals will advance to final while the losing semi-finalists will play a third-place play-off. The matches in Barbados will be played on July 22 to 25 and the matches in Trinidad will be played on July 28 to 31, with August 1 as the reserve day for the finals.

ESPN and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have reached an agreement for the broadcast of the Caribbean T20 and over 61 million viewers will see the tournament. In the Caribbean, fans will be able to view all the matches LIVE on the two ESPN Caribbean networks ESPN and ESPN2, while highlights will be available the following day on Caribbean Media Corporation stations.

The ground-breaking agreement also includes unprecedented live multimedia coverage on ESPN digital platforms including ESPN3.com, ESPN, Inc.'s U.S. broadband platform, and ESPN360 broadband platforms in Australia and Latin America.?
