It was none other than Brian King, the Presbyterian fan North Carolina coach Roy Williams infamously booted out of the Dean Dome earlier this season after King screamed “Miss it, Deon!” while Deon Thompson was shooting free throws.?? “I had a lot of people reach out to me after what happened,” King told the Raleigh News & Observer. “Now that time has passed, this just looked like fun.”
King, a Presbyterian alum, actually grew up a Duke fan, so he no doubt enjoyed watching the Devils break their home losing streak against the Tar Heels. He did emphasize that he has “absolutely no hard feelings” toward Williams, adding, “The whole thing is something everyone can laugh about now.”?
