New York: New Facebook layout, doppelganger finder Facebook. The biggest social networking site has made drastic changes in its website. There are structural changes that the networking site has made to the site that has close to three million active users.
Though the new setting is still now showing to many millions users in different parts of the world, but those who have seen the new setting say that the new setting looked great.
Facebook was under attack for its privacy policies till very recently. Though the social networking site has made many changes after being urged by users, the issue doesn't seem to end as people are saying that their privacy is severely compromised by Facebook's new privacy policy/
In a new development, Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) has asked federal trade commission to investigate the recent changes made in privacy option by Facebook.
Facebook, a widely accessed social networking site is criticized often for its privacy settings, which let other to access the information of the user.
EPIC complaint says that “These changes violate user expectations, diminish user privacy, and contradict Facebook's own representations,”
EPIC is not alone in launching this complain, it is accompanied by seven advocacy organizations along with Center for Digital Democracy, a Privacy Rights Clearinghouse
EPIC’s executive director Marc Rotenberg said in a prepared statement that “More than 100 million people in the United States subscribe to the Facebook service. The company should not be allowed to turn down the privacy dial on so many American consumers.”
A report about the latest Fcebook changes says, "One of the biggest updates to the blue and white monster is that the search box, which you can use to search for your friends or through notes, fan pages and contacts, has taken a trip from the top right of the screen to a more prominent position on the left hand side � making navigation easier and the ability to find what you're looking for quickly improved".
