Salman Butt Hails Returning Yousuf’s Impact

Salman Butt Hails Returning Yousuf's ImpactPakistan captain Salman Butt has hailed the effect that returning batsman Mohammad Yousuf has had on the Test side.

Yousuf scored 52 as Pakistan took a firm grip on the third Test against England at The Oval. They lead by 69 runs after reaching 308 in their first innings on day two in London.

Yousuf was called up late to the tour after being banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board following a series of issues surrounding player unrest which wrecked their winter tour to Australia. 'Cricket is a mind game and, with the kind of influence Yousuf brings, because of the record that he has, he is important for us,' said Butt.

'He is the most stylish player in the modern era because, when he’s batting it seems there’s a lot of time for the batter, no matter how quick the bowler it looks easy, like Inzamam (ul-Haq) used to be. 'It is something good for the whole team and not good for the opposition when someone is countering the attack easily'.
