Lance Armstrong Crash, American cyclist and multi Tour De France winner Lance Armstrong crashed in the Tour of California. He was taken to hospital were he received stitches under his eye. Armstrong is in training for the Tour De France which begins July 3rd and runs until the 25th. The Lance Armstrong crash will hopefully not hamper his training for the Tour.The RadioShack team in which he is a member of is waiting on the X-ray results of Lance's eye. The fall, which occurred after another rider skidded and fell, caused a chain reaction of falls. There was a fair bit of bleeding and swelling. Immediately after the Lance Armstrong crash he resumed the race, but eventually had to stop due to the injury.
In other cycling news today fellow Tour De France winner Floyd Landis admitted to using performance enhancing drugs in his 2006 victory. Landis states he wants to "clear his conscience" and thus confirmed previous allegations. He also included details in an email his allegations about Lance Armstrong and his alleged usage of performance enhancing drugs, Lance has always denied this. One can say Lance has made headlines today not only for the doping scandal but also for the Lance Armstrong crash.
