Latest News Update About Nick Watney: PGA Championship Leaderboard 2010:Matt Kuchar & Nick Watney on Top- Although the world seems to be mostly focused on the performance of Tiger Woods, former Fresno State star Nick Watney was leading the PGA Championship for a brief period this morning before dropping back into a tie for second and 5 under par. He is vying for a huge prize, but bogeyed on the 15th hole. It will be interesting to see if he is able to mount a comeback and take the tournament. After stinging together birdies on three of his first four holes in the morning, many thought that he might be able to make a run for the title in the second round of the PGA championship.
Through four holes he was six under, but eventually fell back to five under. He started the second round with birdies on holes ten, eleven and thirteen, but has not played as well since that time.$7,500,000 PGA Championship Leaderboard

He did not complete his first round because of fog delays. He started the morning tied for the lead, despite the fact that he was not able to play a full round. He finished the first round with a bogey on fourteen and a birdie on 17 before finishing with a bogey on 18.
It would be nice to see Watney turn things around and win the championship. He has become sort of an underdog story over the course of the last few days amid personal problems, and it seems like a lot of people are hoping for him to win.
