Nigel Carr, A female's white Toyota SUV was broken into on Sunday off Hayden Road, across the street from Doak Campbell Stadium. Missing from the vehicle: a "book bag," according to police, containing a purse and other items. Carr is the suspect in the burglary. Police say Carr threw some of the contents he allegedly stole into a dumpster. But that he kept the victim's credit card. And that he kept a piece of paper with the name of the victim's father and his credit card number written on it. Those two items, police say, were found in a white sedan Carr allegedly drives.
-Further, police say Carr is the suspect in another car burglary. This one allegedly happened on Saturday. In that alleged burglary, a checkbook went missing from the car. That checkbook was discovered near the same dumpster where the "first" victim the one whose white Toyota SUV was allegedly broken into found some of her belongings. There are other items allegedly missing from the "second" victim's vehicle. Police say it believes those items are in Carr's residence.
-According to police, there is a surveillance video showing a black male, matching Carr's descriptions, depositing items into a dumpster after the alleged burglary of the Toyota SUV.
-Working on finding out whether there's a connection among Carr and the victims.
-According to the state attorney's office, Carr has been charged with five felonies: two counts of burglary of a structure, one count of property damage, one count of theft of a credit card and one count of fraud. Obviously, according to Florida State's athletic department policy, he will remain suspended as long as he is charged with a felony.
